Mr Vinson Yau 邱柱翰先生

Vinson Yau is the Programme Officer of TREATS. He graduated from the Chinese University Hong Kong with a bachelor degree of Exercise Science and Health Education. With his strong interest in sports, he has been dedicated in making use of his expertise to design various sports activities for secondary school students in Hong Kong, so that young people can develop their potential and teamwork will be possible for people with all backgrounds.
Prior to joining TREATS, Vinson has worked in a sport startup company, assisting the company in organizing, planning and implementing sports programmes and projects. He also spent more than 5 years in a sports organization as an event assistant, which has provided him opportunities to interact with people with all cultures, thus developing him into an open-minded and outgoing individual.
Vinson is currently overseeing several sports projects such as “Sports Play Out! Gamified Sports Training Project for Ethnic Minorities Youth” and “Sailing For All project” for youth with different abilities. These projects aim to provide learning and social opportunities for the participants through community engagement, teamwork and personal capacity development through sports and experiential learning. With the belief that sports is a medium to break through barriers, he organized the above inclusive projects for minorities to empower them to participate in a more inclusive society.
Vinson believes that TREATS’ programmes are not only provide opportunities to the minorities, but also setting a platform for them to shine when an opportunity is there.
